LOVELAND, Colo. (April 8, 2015) – Following a successful freshman season racing in the most competitive single-make sports car race series in the country, the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohoma, JDX Racing returns and is looking to spice up the competition at the inaugural race at NOLA Motorsports Park.

JDX Racing announced today the signing of Canadian racing driver David Ostella. The 23-year-old Ostella is a native of Maple, Ontario and was the 2013 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada Champion and will make his JDX Racing debut piloting the No. 13 JDX Racing / Hertz Porsche. Coincidentally, Ostella won the Canadian championship driving a No. 13 Porsche GT3 Cup car.

Ostella commented, “I’m thrilled to be joining JDX Racing and Hertz for the GT3 Cup Challenge race at NOLA. As you would expect in GT3 Cup, the 2015 series is very competitive, and I’m looking forward to jumping into the fray. JDX Racing has proven they are race winners and after a year away from racing Porsches I’m very excited to get back into a Cup Car, especially the new 991. This is going to be a very fun event.

Team principal Harrison Brix said, “David was a standout in the Canadian Championship in 2013, so much so that he was invited to participate in the Porsche Young Driver Academy. While he is no stranger to the GT3 Cup cars, he is new to the 991 – but we have no doubt that he will adapt quickly and will be a threat for the podium in both races at NOLA this weekend.”

The green flag for Round 3 of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama 2015 season flies at 3:25 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 11 at NOLA Motorsports Park, followed by Round 4 at 12:45 p.m. EDT on Sunday, April 12. Both are timed, 45-minute races that support the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana on Sunday, April 12. Live timing and scoring will be available on IMSA.com. Television coverage will air April 25-26 on the Sinclair Broadcast Group Network. Each telecast also will be available for streaming via IMSA.com within 24 to 48 hours following the initial Sinclair telecast.
